Thom Woodley is a web video pioneer, writer and filmmaker.
Thom helped usher in the original online video revolution with the launch of the first full-length sitcom made for the web, the seminal hipster comedy The Burg (called one of the Best Ideas of the Year by the New York Times). He also created, wrote and produced The All-For-Nots (a co-production with Michael Eisner), All's Faire, and Greg & Donny, which won a deal at IFC through the New York Television Festival.
Thom also served as Executive Creative Director at CollegeHumor and Electus, as well as the Head of Content for vertical video app Rizzle. Also among his writing credits are the video game James Bond: World of Espionage, the story system of the highly popular Episode Interactive storytelling platform, and hundreds of ads, including the Dos Equis Most Interesting Man in the World commercials. Other original productions include his historical nonfiction podcast Fail to the Chief (released as a book, 2021), feature films The Ghost in your Library and Stalled, pilots Powerless, 30nothing, and Search & Destroy, and RPG liveplay series Difficult Terrain.
For his screenwriting and webseries work he has been nominated for the Writer's Guild, Webby and Streamy awards, and has been named an Emerging Storyteller at the IFP. Thom was a founding member of the International Academy of Web Television, taught at the School of Visual Arts and Miami Ad School, developed the New Media program at the New York Conservatory for the Dramatic Arts, and has written and addressed Congress on the subject of internet neutrality.
