Chris Chan Roberson is a filmmaker and college professor

Chris has been teaching cinematography and editing at Tisch School of the Arts since 1999 and served as NYU’s Executive Director of Post Production for over two years. Currently he is the Freshman Area Head.

Chris was a contributing writer for Comic Book Resources and edited for the YouTube channels Screen Rant and The Things. In 2006, Chris won a Telly Award for his editing work.

From 2012 through July 2014, Chris worked at YouTube as Lead Producer and Studio Manager. He helped emerging partners devise channel strategy, increase production value, and develop their brand. 

In 2014, Chris conducted a TEDx Talk, titled “Modern Mavericks”.

Magnetic Dragons, a one man show written and performed by Chris, won the Gotham Award and Staff Choice award at the Frigid Festival 2020 as well as

Best Feature Length Theater Project by the Theater OnLine Film Festival 2021.

In 2023 Chris made his feature film directorial debut with Eleanor Slaughter. The film was accepted to over two dozen festivals and won 10 Best Picture awards, two Best Director awards, two Best Editing awards, and 3 Best Screenplay awards.
